This week, CJHS started the Indian PRIDE program. Pride stands for people who have RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DETERMINATION, & EMPATHY. Each quarter, we will focus on one of the 4 PRIDE character traits. And, each week, we will have a character challenge that relates to the character trait. Students who display the character challenge trait will be given PRIDE passes. These passes can be turned in during lunch for a prize. In addition, students who turn in their PRIDE passes will be eligible for the PRIDE breakfast at the end of the quarter.
This quarter's trait is RESPECT. Respect is thinking and acting in a positive way towards yourself and other people. Acting respectfully shows others that you care about their feelings and well-being. This week's character challenge is to show respect through being polite. When we are polite and courteous of other people, we show them that we value them as human beings.
